Live Auction FAQ and Video Demo

Frequently Asked Questions

1. What is Super Streaming?

•  Super Streaming makes video streams more fun and interactive by providing content creators with the ability to host live actions so their fans can bid and win exclusive items from their vault.  It attaches directly onto existing video streaming platforms you already use like YouTube and Twitch.  Customers do not have to register on another auction selling service.

2. What are Live Auctions on Super Streaming?

• Live Auctions allow viewers to place real-time bids in a auction setting hosted by streamers and content creators.  For those participants that place a winning bid, they can purchase the item and ship to their location using Shopify.

3. How do I participate in a Live Auction?

• Live Auctions are available for Desktop Web devices using the Google Chrome Browser.  Below are the 4 steps you need to take to get you in the game:

Step 1: Click the “Add to Chrome” button in the Google Chrome Store or click on the “Install to Bid” button above.

Step 2: Once installed, click on the jigsaw puzzle Icon to the right of the address bar then the Pin icon to pin it to your Chrome browser.

Step 3: Sign-In using your Google Account to register.

Step 4: Now you are ready to bid on auction items that appear below the stream during video playback.

4. How Do I Place a Bid?

• Click on the “Bid Now” button and select the amount you want to bid by clicking on the +/- controls when an item is available in the open auction.  In addition you can manually type in an amount on the bid price in the card.

5. Now I’ve placed a Bid, how does the bidding process work with others in the auction?

You can continue to place higher bids on the auction item while the item remains open if another user places a bid higher than your previous bid.  Please note that the increment amounts can change depending on the current item bid price.

6. Why does the timer keep adding on additional seconds when its closer to ending?

When user bids places a bid right before the auction ends, the timer will extend another 13 seconds to give additional time to allow for additional bids.

If you own the highest bid when the auction closes, you win the exclusive rights to purchase and ship that auction item and it closes for everyone else.

7. Is there a delay between the auction host and the auction activity in the tray?

Sometimes we can see a 1-2 second delay between items auctioned in the tray and the streamer communication or activity in the video.  Don’t be alarmed if the streamer might is a little behind whats happening in the tray.

8. How many items are available and what is the average time auction items are available for me to bid on?

• Both of these settings are configured by the content creator who is hosting the auction.  Most common live auctions offer up 15-30 items with an average bid time of 1-2 minutes per item, thus lasting between 30-60 minutes in total length.

9. I was the winning bid for an auction item, now what?

If you won the item, you must go to the Shopify Paywall to complete the transaction.  You have 20 minutes to complete your purchase.  If you do not complete the purchase within 10 minutes, the item will be released back to the auction streamer/content creator.

To purchase your item:

• Find the won item in the Closed Portion of the Auction Tray at the bottom of the video stream or you can see the won item in left side hamburger menu when clicking on the Auction Icon.

• Click “Buy Item” button to take you to Shopify

• Enter in your bill and shipping information in Shopify to complete payment and initiate shipping to your address.

• You will receive emails from the Super Streaming Shopify store with purchase confirmation and estimated ship dates.

10. What happens if I lose my internet connection during a Live Auction?

• If you lose connection during a game, you may be outbid by another user while you are disconnected.  Once you have reconnected, then re-open the auction stream URL to see what the current bid is for that item.    You can place another bid as long as the auction item is still available to be bid on.  The item you placed a bid on might have closed in the time that it takes you to reconnect to the auction stream.

11. Are Live Auctions on mobile devices?

• The Super Streaming Chrome Plug-in is only available on PCs but Super Streaming is developing a mobile app to be released soon.

12. Do I need to create an account to make bids in the Live Auction?

• Yes, you’ll need to click the sign-in button using your Google account to participate in Live Auctions. This allows the platform to create a wallet for you and to track the bids you are making in the real-time auction bidding process.

13. Who can I contact if I have issues with a Live Auction?

• If you encounter any problems or have additional questions during a Live Auction, you can contact Super Streaming’s customer support team through the help center on the platform. They’ll assist you with any issues you might have.
